O. Nicholas Brisbane

Multi-Disciplinary Engineer with a Masters in Engineering from the department of Building and Civil engineering, Loughborough University, 1989, UK. Nick is a proven performer instrumental in structural and building and civil engineering planning, design and project management and real estate strategy planning services over the past 35 years. He has a talent for making rapid assessments of diverse situational challenges and then developing and leading the resulting action plans. He leads the coordination of design criteria, design process, working drawings, tender and site quality control issues. He has directly been involved in the concept planning and administration of well over 300 projects in the Eastern Caribbean region. Also has an extensive and successful track record as a real estate developer in multi - unit residential villa resort projects.

Nick has had the unique experience of being confronted with risk management financial issues on a first hand basis and therefore he has a full understanding of risk assessment issues from both the consulting firm’s approach and from the Client’s perspective. As an engineer and entrepreneur, Nick along with all members of the BME team are driven by the financial and environmental sustainable successes of all projects.

 

 

Richard McGrath

Civil & Structural Engineer Bachelor of Science, Civil Engineering, 1995, University of West Indies. Excelling in structural analysis and civil engineering design for projects with a wide range of requirements. Over 20 years of experience of solid background planning, design to international standards and detailing of working drawings and preparation of specification documents.

Richard is proficient with a wide range of international design codes and standards. In the Caribbean many projects are developed and constructed in remote locations with limited access to extensive infrastructure services, Richard’s ability to innovate and find cost effective solutions in remote and challenging locations is also testament to his Caribbean experience and his drive to save on costs and provide " A Green Infrastructure" whenever possible.

 

 

Jamal Lewis

Architect with first class honors in Architecture from South Bank University, 2007, London. Jamal specializes in offering technical direction and management to every project or task. He works under the mandate that no detail is too small and applies this to all areas of a project. Proven track record in quality control of working drawings as well as architectural and engineering site management and inspections. Superior organizational skills and multi-tasking abilities.

Jamal brings the unique approach of reviewing and critiquing engineering concepts via the eye of the architect and he is proficient in 3D CAD and most of the recent technology in CAD design.



 

 

Ravidya Burrowes

Dr. Ravidya Burrowes

Environmental Sustainability Scientist with a Doctorate in Geology (2000, UWI), Master’s in Climate Change (2016, University of Waterloo), and Master’s in Geography (1992, UWI). Dr. Ravidya Burrowes is a recognized expert with over 30 years of experience in environmental management, climate change adaptation, and sustainable development across the Caribbean, Canada, and internationally. She has shaped environmental policy, led multi-disciplinary environmental/climate impact and risk assessments, and guided integrated natural resource management for governments, development agencies, NGOs, and the private sector. As a geographer and Earth scientist, she applies systems-based thinking to translate strategic goals into actionable, operationally feasible programs—particularly for Small Island Developing States (SIDS). Her portfolio spans projects funded by the IADB, UNDP, USAID, GEF/World Bank, and the Caribbean Development Bank, covering wetland conservation policy, climate-resilience planning, and the emerging blue economy. Skilled in data analysis, literature synthesis, and plain-language reporting, she excels in data-poor environments and advocates the robust application of best-available science to development planning and decision-making.

She brings a wealth of practical experience in overcoming implementation barriers, coupled with strategic insight into fostering the enabling conditions that drive results that align environmental responsibility with business performance and sound risk management.
